The short version: Dry Run Whiteboard for LeetCode collects nothing and sends nothing anywhere. Everything it stores stays in your own browser.
1.Who this covers
This policy covers the Dry Run Whiteboard for LeetCode browser extension, built and maintained by Vinay Tiwari (vinaytz). It explains what the extension stores, where that goes, and what it never does.
2.What it stores
In your browser's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local):
- One whiteboard per LeetCode problem you draw on: what you drew, the blocks, pointers, steps and trace tables, and where you left the view.
- A short list of those boards for the popup: the problem's number and title, when it was last edited, its size, and whether it was on leetcode.com or leetcode.cn.
- The parts of a problem statement you highlighted: the highlighted words and a few words around them.
- Your settings, and where you last placed the board.
3.Who else sees it
No one. None of it leaves your device, and it is never sold, shared or sent to me or to any third party.
4.What it does not do
- It does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal or usage data.
- It makes no network requests. Everything it needs is bundled with the extension.
- It uses no analytics, tracking, advertising or accounts.
- It does not read your code or your LeetCode account. To draw a problem's examples it reads the example inputs shown on the page, and the problem data LeetCode itself loads into your browser when you move to another problem. That is used on the page and never sent anywhere.
- Images and files you export are made on your device. They only leave your computer if you choose to share them.
5.Where it runs
Only on LeetCode problem pages on leetcode.com and leetcode.cn, contest problems included, and in its own popup. On other contest pages it only checks the address and stays hidden.
6.Your choices
- Everything the extension stores is removed when you uninstall it.
- You can delete any board from the popup at any time.
- A backup file is only created when you click Back up, and it is saved to your own downloads.
7.Children
The extension is not aimed at children, and I don't knowingly collect information from them.
8.Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will appear on this page with a new date at the top.
