Privacy policy

The short version: Theme Studio for Codeforces stores settings locally and sends nothing to the developer or any third party. Its two Codeforces API requests are only about your own public data and go to Codeforces itself.

  1. 1.Who this covers

    This policy covers the Theme Studio for Codeforces browser extension, built and maintained by Vinay Tiwari (vinaytz). It explains what the extension stores, where that goes, and what it never does.

  2. 2.What it stores

    In your browser's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local):

    • Your chosen theme, Guided or Compact layout and Anime Studio settings.
    • The optional picture you add for Anime Studio.
    • A six-hour cache of your last two rating changes and, for 30 minutes, the ids of submissions still being judged.
    • Whether the beginner tip, moments, sound and ambient motion are enabled.

  3. 3.Who else sees it

    No one. None of it leaves your device, and it is never sold, shared or sent to me or to any third party.

  4. 4.What it does not do

    • It does not collect, transmit, sell or share personal or usage data with the developer or third parties.
    • It uses no analytics, advertising, accounts or remote code.
    • It does not change the meaning of Codeforces rating colours or remove anything from the site.

  5. 5.Where it runs

    Codeforces pages on codeforces.com and its subdomains, including problemset, contests, Gym, standings, status, profiles and blogs. It does not run on other sites.

  6. 6.Your choices

    • Change the theme, layout and moments settings in the extension popup.
    • Remove your Anime Studio picture from the popup at any time.
    • Uninstalling the extension removes its locally stored settings.

  7. 7.A note

    When you are signed in, the extension may request codeforces.com/api/user.rating at most once every six hours to detect your own rating change. If a verdict is stuck on Running, it may request codeforces.com/api/user.status every three seconds for at most three minutes while the visible tab is open. These requests go directly to Codeforces, use public data, and are not sent anywhere else.

  8. 8.Children

    The extension is not aimed at children, and I don't knowingly collect information from them.

  9. 9.Changes

    If this policy changes, the updated version will appear on this page with a new date at the top.
