The short version: English or ₹5 stores only what the game needs: the name you type and the games you play, shared with the one friend you're playing against. It never listens to or reads your call.
1.Who this covers
This policy covers the English or ₹5 browser extension, built and maintained by Vinay Tiwari (vinaytz). It explains what the extension stores, where that goes, and what it never does.
2.What it stores
On the game's backend (Supabase):
- An anonymous account, created when you type your name. There's no email or password.
- The display name you type.
- Each game you create or join: its key, both players' names, the rule settings (free slips and the ₹ rate), the creator's timezone, whether it's running or ended, and when it started and ended.
- Each slip called out in a game: who called it, who it was against, and when.
In your browser's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local):
- Your sign-in session.
- Where you last dragged the widget on the Meet page.
3.Who else sees it
I don't sell or rent your information. These services process it so the extension can work:
- Supabase hosts the database, the anonymous sign-in and the live updates that keep both screens in sync.
Information may also be disclosed where the law requires it.
4.What it does not do
- It does not listen to, record or transcribe your call. Slips are called out by a person pressing a button.
- It does not read your Meet chat, captions, participants or anything else on the page.
- It does not ask for your email, phone number or any contact details.
- It uses no analytics, tracking or advertising, and nothing is sold.
5.Where it runs
The popup, and Google Meet pages (meet.google.com/*), where it shows the widget.
6.Your choices
- Games are private to the two players in them: database rules only let you read games you're a player in, and nobody can edit the records directly.
- Your account lives in one Chrome profile. Clearing your browser data or uninstalling signs you out of it for good.
- To have your games and account deleted from the backend, email me and I'll remove them.
7.A note
Please don't put anything sensitive in your display name: your opponent will see it.
8.Children
The extension is not aimed at children, and I don't knowingly collect information from them.
9.Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will appear on this page with a new date at the top.
